The Serious Page

Privacy

The one page where the donkey does not joke. Well. Mostly.

What this site collects about visitors: nothing. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no analytics beacons following you home. You read; we don’t watch. If that ever changes (for example, if contributor accounts arrive), this page will say so plainly, in advance, in words a human can read.

Submissions: when you submit material, we receive only what you type into the form. An alias is welcome; a real name is never required. Submissions are reviewed by the editors and are either published, kept in the queue, or deleted. If you want a submission of yours removed, contact us and it will be.

People in submitted content: our rules forbid names or identifying details of private individuals in submissions, and we enforce this before anything is published. If something identifying slips through, tell us and it comes down immediately — that’s not a debate, it’s a promise.

Hosting: this site is served by our hosting provider, which — like all web servers — processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages. We don’t see or store this ourselves.

Jurisdiction: we operate from the European Union, and this page will be kept honest to GDPR standards as the site grows. Data protection inquiries can be sent to the contact address published at launch.
